Research Experience for Teachers (RET)

Overview:
In this program, high school teachers spend two summers at JHU. In the first year they obtain experience working in MRSEC research laboratories. In the second year, they design and construct modules for classroom instruction, taking advantage of the MRSEC resources. A competitive stipend is provided.

Testimonial:
"The entire summer was fascinating. There are literally dozens of people involved in various aspects of physics and nanotechnology, all working on noteworthy topics. Everyone opened their doors to me and was more than happy to share what they are researching. I was fascinated to learn about what is going on in their labs. Their enthusiasm was obvious - these people love what they are doing and want others to know about it."
Kevin Martz, Richard Montgomery High School, Gaithersburg MD
Summer 2012 Information: There will not be an RET program in 2012. Future programs will be announced as opportunities arise. Thank you.
